We need to insure that the children have adequate tools to fulfill their classroom needs are justified. This is a critical need. Teachers in California (and elsewhere) have a plight now that is seriously affecting the empowerment of children. Late summer means searching for school supplies. Like their public school counterparts, families with students attending private school spend time poring on the supply lists, scouring the house for items they already have and going to a store or using the Internet to buy what else is required. Each private school has its own means of coping with supplies. Some charge a supply fee and then provide everything. Others suggest families provide items for the classroom, like computer paper or facial tissues, that will be employed by all. Most private schools ask families to offer the supplies their child will make use of in the past year. Private schools also charge a textbook fee or have students purchase their own textbooks; require families to supply a uniform or clothing for child that fits an outfit code; and assess a transportation fee or ask families to move students.
Tips for Buying Private School Supplies As the supply and textbook lists will differ based on your child’s grade level and the kind of private school they may be attending, several words of advice are universal. Before you make any purchases, contact the institution to get the official supply and/or textbook list for that upcoming school year. Find out if there exists a used book or uniform sale. Shop there first to aid control costs.
Go through the closets and drawers in your own home to locate supplies which can be used. * Have a calendar so you’ll be aware of dates when used products are available for sale, transportation fees are due, parents meetings are held etc. * Locate a family who enjoyed a student attend the private school where your child is certainly going.
